The Mini ECOi Series,

Kingspan Insulation has released a new installation guide for Kingspan Kooltherm FM Ductwork Insulation and Therma Duct Insulation. The document covers all aspects of the installation process for rectangular, circular and fl at oval ductwork applications, from initial preparation, to TICA recommended methods of insulating fl anges, stiff eners and connections. Clear annotated diagrams are included, illustrating best practice. Kingspan Kooltherm FM Ductwork Insulation and Therma Duct Insulation off er various advantages. Their insulation cores help keep ductwork dimensions to a minimum, without compromising energy performance, and they are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications on ductwork and associated products within an operating temperature range of –20°C to 80°C. STOKVIS
A developer specialising in the conversion of commercial properties into apartment buildings for social housing providers is placing repeat orders with Stokvis Energy Systems for a range of heating and hot water solutions. SHF Property Investments has recently seen residents move into Unity House in Luton, Bedfordshire, after the fi ve- storey offi ce block was converted into 110 fl ats. The dwellings are served by a skid-mounted Modupak 330 boiler set as well as a pair of PHE 2 x C3Ai22+1T Plate Heat Exchangers, along with a 1000 litre buff er vessel. There is also a Micro-S Digital Pressurisation Unit and an EB-3MXH440 Cold Water Booster Set. Patryk Halczak, senior consultant and engineer stated: “Having worked in the fi eld for many years I had noticed that whatever age of Stokvis plate heat exchangers I came across, they were still working well. ”

RINNAI
Rinnai has added to its range of Energysaver gas fi red space heaters, designed for use in schools, community centres, libraries, conservatories, churches and other large indoor spaces. In addition to the new Rinnai Energysaver 559FT, the popular Energysaver 309FT has a new, streamlined look. Changes have been made to the Energysaver 559T’s operation board, which is now an easy to use
touch-control pad sited discreetly on top of the appliance. Further advantages include a timer function and eco-mode, combined with the new unit’s ability to heat big spaces very fast. The 559FT has an input of 6.4kW and output of 5.2kW. The streamlined unit measures 554mm x 750mm x 250mm. The Rinnai Energysaver 309FT also sports a sleek casing and turns in net effi ciencies of 88%. It has an input of 3.4kW and output of 2.92kW, and measures 695mm x 465mm x 257mm.

Smith’s Environmental Products UK has introduced its Pedestal Radiators. The range comes in three stylish designs: Kiosk, Trafalgar and Tube. Designed to be installed at fl oor level beside large fl oor to ceilings windows to reduce condensation problems, they can also be installed as a decorative solution. These products are natural convector heaters and work by air convection currents passing through the high effi ciency aluminium fi nned copper tube heat exchanger. They are designed for use on standard two-pipe pumped central heating systems. SYSTEMAIR
Systemair has launched Geniox, aiming to improve energy effi ciency in ventilation systems. The Geniox air handling units can be assembled on site by installers. The unit is delivered in modules to make transportation to and on the site easier. Installers can then assemble the Geniox unit by simply fi tting the modules together.
The Geniox range can be applied across diff erent industries, from housing to hospitals, data centres, industrial facilities, ships and off shore rigs.
Systemair has also further developed its design programme, SystemairCAD, in order to handle the confi guration of the Geniox air handling units. The programme is free to download and allows customers to confi gure their own air handling units or, alternatively, choose one of the pre-confi gured options.
