IV Produkt showcases next-generation R290 heat pump technology to UK journalists


Swedish HVAC manufacturer IV Produkt last month launched its next-generation ThermoCooler HP with R290 and R454C refrigerant choice to UK journalists at an event held at the company’s head office at Växjö in Sweden


T


he integrated reversible heat pump module supports lower-GWP HVAC specification as part of the Swedish company’s Envistar Flex air handling unit (AHU) range. IV Produkt is said to be the first manufacturer to use R290 in an integrated reversible solution, marking a significant step towards natural and lower-GWP refrigerant applications in integrated commercial HVAC systems. At the event last month, UK journalists met the managing team at IV Produkt including Chief Executive Mattias Sjöberg and Export Director West Europe, Manuel Swärd. The UK visitors were able to learn about the history of the company, its product offering and operations across its primary market in the Nordics and Europe as well as its growing capabilities in the United Kingdom. IV Produkt’s UK business is primarily a sales,


specification, and technical support organisation. Manufacturing remains at its headquarters in Växjö, Sweden, with products supplied into the UK for projects. Across the UK dedicated sales engineers cover


Scotland, Northeast England, Northwest, Midlands, London & Southeast, and Southwest, providing specification and project support to consultants and contractors. However, Mr Swärd told journalists the UK is a key


market for IV Produkt and the company is looking to further grow its presence and brand across the country.


During the event, a tour of the manufacturer’s


extended factory demonstrated how IV Produkt is putting into action its strategy to increase production capacity to meet growing demand for its products and bring down lead times. As part of the tour, journalists witnessed the step-


by-step manufacture of the ThermoCooler HP, gaining an insight into the engineering and production behind the system. Mr Swärd said: “These new units are a game changer for our industry. They address the new F-Gas regulation and solve several challenges for property owners, while also improving energy efficiency and reducing installation costs compared with traditional systems. “With ThermoCooler HP, we are combining lower-


GWP refrigerant choice with an integrated reversible heat pump design that can reduce plant space, simplify installation, and lower the environmental footprint of the overall system. It is a win-win-win for consultants, contractors, and building owners.” Mr Sjöberg said: “We have invested in facilities,
