Feature: The Euronics Way Supporting the interests of all
This month we talk to Paul Tyler, CEO of CIH, about the Euronics network and how it has grown to be one of the largest independent retail networks in the UK. What does Euronics do that makes it stand out within the industry and support its members?
A
t Combined Independents (Holdings) Ltd (CIH), the electrical buying group,
part of Euronics, Europe’s largest electrical buying group, we are committed to our members and the wider industry. We currently have around 430 members and operates in just over 600 stores across the UK.
At Euronics, we believe in the power
of a strong, consistent brand voice. The Euronics Way is our unique approach to communication, characterised by clarity, authenticity, and customer-centric values. We are dedicated to serving local communities and its why our Agents stores operate as independent family businesses on high streets up and down the country. Our aim is to build a deeper connection with customers, fostering trust and loyalty through every interaction.
Expanding Horizons: New Categories We are continually reviewing and adding to our product offerings. In recent months we have expanded to include three exciting new categories: Health & Beauty, Satnav, and Electric Bikes. These additions reflect our commitment to diversifying our portfolio and meeting the evolving needs of our member and their customers.
A Vibrant Marketplace Our Marketplace platform is the new way for Euronics agents to share details of their product range, delivery timings and installation information with consumers. It takes the shopping locally experience to a whole new level of ease and simplicity Over 2,000 products are on the Euronics website, which local agents can tailor to suit the stock they have available within their stores.
Each agent has access to a unique URL, they can manage their own microsite which allows them to be more visible within the communities they support. When consumers enter their postcode into the Euronics website, they can see the exact prices available to them, stock availability and delivery costs and timings.

Celebrating Excellence: Award Wins Euronics is honoured to have received prestigious accolades from Which?, Feefo and the Independent Electrical Retailer (IER) Awards. These awards are a testament to our unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction, quality service, and industry leadership. They reflect our commitment to maintaining high standards and continuously striving for excellence. We have been named a ‘Recommended

The always on campaign included TV advertising, radio adverts, POS, social media and digital.
PEOPLE MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
Fair For You CIH and Euronics have partnered with Fair for You, a charity-owned social lender providing affordable and ethical credit. More than one million adults and children in the UK are in ‘appliance poverty’*, meaning they live without at least one major household appliance. With a third of UK adults having difficulty accessing mainstream credit**, replacing broken appliances could be a struggle. Fair for You’s responsible lending service gives Euronics Agents the ability to support such customers, ensuring they do not have to go without essential items or turn to high-cost credit.
Advocacy within the industry Euronics plays and important role within the industry and we are committed to advocating for positive change. One of our key focuses is lobbying the government on critical issues, such as apprenticeships. We believe in the importance of nurturing talent and providing opportunities for the next generation of professionals. Our efforts aim to shape policies that support industry growth, innovation, and sustainability. Euronics continues to lead the way in
delivering exceptional services and advocacy. With our new product categories, enhanced Marketplace, award recognitions, distinctive brand voice, and commitment to industry advancement, we are in the position to offer unparalleled value to our members. However, these achievements and growth would not be possible without our members. The successes truly demonstrate the great work of our members, and we are grateful for everything they do and continue to do to serve their local communities and customers.
