Industrial grade Intel NUC format rugged

embedded system from BVM BVM Limited has introduced the Jetway JBC311U93 industrial grade embedded barebone system. It is based on the very popular NUC format from Intel with Intel's Celeron 7.5W TDP Bay-Trail M Quad-Core SOC processor clocked at 1.83 to 2.16 GHz and with up to 8 GB of DDR3L-1333 DRAM. Housed in a rugged 110 x 116 x 49 mm aluminium enclosure it offers fanless operation and long-term 24/7 operational life, with a minimum planned lifecycle of Q1 2029. While potential applications are very broad, the unit is particularly suitable for systems where physically harsh operating environments, restricted access and long-term reliability are primary considerations. It offers impressive computing power combined with extensive I/O capability and support for dual 1920 x 1200 HDMI displays, driven by Intel Gen 7 HD Graphics. It is available in two standard versions: with or without 802.11

7” ultrawide temperature range (-40°C~80°C) TFT LCD

The latest addition to our comprehensive line up of TFT LCD is our 7.0” WVGA IPS panel. The key feature to this new panel is it’s ultrawide operating temperature range of -40°C~+80°C making it suitable for a host of applications within the highly demanding automotive and aerospace industries.

The 15:9 aspect ratio panel has an outstanding optical specification, viewing angles of 170° on both the X and Y axis allows the panel to be mounted in both landscape and portrait orientations without the loss of colour or image quality, plus coupling these features with a 16.7M colour pallet, a super high brightness 1000cd/m² LED backlight and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 a superb performance in all lighting conditions, including full sun is assured. An 8-Bit LVDS interface ensures compatibility with a host of today’s single board computers with a 24- Bit RGB version to be released over the coming months. The Panel can also be supplied with either a Projected capacitive or 4-Wire resistive touch.

www.bvm.co.uk/NUC.htm Antenova’s latest SMD antenna ‘Raptor’ can

pinpoint a location to within centimetres Antenova Ltd, has developed a new SMD positioning antenna that achieves an extraordinary level of accuracy in the GNSS bands – it can pinpoint a location to within centimetres.

The Raptor antenna utilises the L2, 1200MHz satellite bands which recently became available for civilian use. It is the latest addition to Antenova’s lamiiANT range of rigid FR4 antennas which are designed for easy insertion onto a PCB.

The antenna itself is very small - it is a GPS single feed antenna in SMD form, measuring just 16.0 x 8.0 x 1.6mm, so it’s suitable for small PCBs within small electronic devices.

“This is an outstanding antenna, because it achieves the same precision as a much larger,

heavier ceramic patch antenna, in a very compact SMD part.” says Colin Newman, CEO of Antenova. Contact:
