buy these from the larger online and physical retailers, and customers will be turned off or grow bored of the same old selections!


Q: Tell us about some of your latest/recent key product ranges? LS: Most of the six styles we launched the brand with 10 years ago are still a part of the 30-plus styles we include in each seasonal collection. They have become our classics, and our Rosie T-Bar shoes and Sidney brogue boots are still two of our most loved and best-selling styles! Along with our classic styles we obviously have seasonal styles with more boots and wool- lined footwear in the Winter and sneakers and sandals in the Summer. We also have a fantastic back to school collection that is sure to elevate any dull school uniform!


We have a practical selection of sole types that suit all stages of foot growth. There’s our original lightweight EVA sole that brought us to everyone’s attention, then we have a natural rubber sole, a small heeled neo lite sole, and our custom-designed, zero-drop barefoot sole that was launched two seasons ago. On these soles we have traditional brogues, Mary Janes, T-Bars, Chelsea, ankle and hiking boots and – new for this season – our first Cowboy boot! Our early walkers start at a size UK 4 but the majority of our footwear is available from size UK 2.5 up to 7, with some styles going as large as 7.5.


We also have Vegan options of our best- selling styles. Making sure that lifestyle choices don’t stop parents having the coolest footwear options for their kids!


Q: Do you have any new product launches coming soon that retailers should be aware of? LS: Our short-term aim is the same as it has always been – and that is to make the coolest and most beautiful kids’ footwear around. Footwear that parents are proud to put on their kids and footwear that kids love and feel great wearing.


For the long term we have some really exciting plans regarding the materials we use to make our footwear, how we sell and promote our products and how we can help reduce the 76 million pairs of kids’ shoes that are sent to landfill each year in the UK.


We hope that we can make a bit of a difference and shake up and move the kids’ footwear industry along… much like we did when we launched Young Soles 10 years ago!
