REVIEW
In the Britannia suite at the NCC, Waldläufer had a busy show. Explained Matt Nuttall of NFA Ltd, the brand’s UK agent: “For us the show marks the start of our selling season so is our first proper opportunity to share a new range with a broad spectrum of retailers. “We use it to gauge what might be strong and what might not be in the upcoming season. We do take orders in Birmingham but retailers also visit
us to either get a first look or to select a range of styles they will fine tune after the show. We already look forward to returning on 2 February 2025 to open our selling for AW25!” Russell Galliven, UK Agent for Pikolinos,
Martinelli and Vionic brands, added: “August was a good, well organised show as always and we were pleased with the forward business booked at the show. I am excited and looking forward to
the next event in February where we resume back to the Sunday/Monday format, and coinciding again with Spring Fair will ultimately increase the footfall to the area in general.” Elsewhere, Heavenly Feet has been an
advocate and strong supporter of the event since the beginning. The brand has occupied a prime location in the NCC foyer since the show began... “We would always encourage buyers and
exhibitors to attend and support the show as it really is vital to the footwear industry,” said Stuart Bailey. “The location is great, the facilities are excellent and there was a great spread of brands in attendance. “For us, the timing of this show is so important
and we are pleased to see the next February edition move back to the Sunday/Monday format as that definitely benefits many more retailers.” Gus Marshall from The Marshall Fashion
Group said he believes it’s important to get the whole footwear trade together under one roof… “Across our three brands – Heavenly Feet, Legero and Wonders – we were kept busy throughout both days of the August show. “Looking ahead to February, I welcome the
return of the Sunday as a lot of customers who operate their own shops weren’t able to make it in August and that was noticed in the aisles.”
