Premium British Shoe Brand Start-rite Appoints New Finance Director
Start-rite Shoes Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Robert Annison, who has joined the company as Finance Director and Company Secretary. Robert brings with him significant knowledge
and experience from previous appointments, including his role as Head of Finance with eCommerce based Soak & Sleep, where he was responsible for strategic management and HR, as well as having a hands-on finance role. Robert’s background began with a career
in law, he then retrained with Big Four accountancy firm KPMG. Whilst at KPMG Robert worked in risk consulting with a focus on IP and contract governance. At Start-rite, Robert will work with the Finance,
ICT and HR functions as the company continues to strengthen its business. Robert said: “I have a wide range of experience
covering bottom up finance, together with broad commercial and ecommerce exposure. I am excited to work with Start-rite, a company with such a rich history and fantastic brand. I am very much looking forward to working with the team and I hope to play a key role in the company’s plans for the business.”
New independent footwear store wins Art Footwear window competition
Every year, the Art Footwear Company runs a worldwide Christmas window competition amongst its stockists with an impressive prize of ¤5,000 for the winner. The guideline for the design is to produce a window that reflects the spirit of the brand.
