Kindly tell us about your shop, its location and your customers? We are a specialist independent retailer of children’s shoes as well as a large range of children’s accessories, toys and gifts. We have been in business for 15 years. Our shop is located in the leafy Kew Gardens area of West London and the shop is a stone’s throw from the underground station. We are 2 minutes’ walk from the World Heritage site of Kew Botanical Gardens. Many of our customers are local residents but we are also a destination shop for those who appreciate the extremely high level of service that we offer as well as the broad range of high quality European shoe brands that we carry.
What made you decide to buy this brand? Petasil fits perfectly with our range of shoe brands. Our top priorities when deciding on a brand are fit and quality. Petasil offers both of these - they offer an excellent fit (particularly in those styles which come in different width options) and the high quality of the leathers gives children the comfort that they so desire alongside a good fitting shoe.
How did you find out about the brand, where and when? The range was originally brought to us in store by a shoe agent
The Shoe Station T: 020 8940 9905
Which features of the brand do you like best and why? Again, fit, quality and comfort come top of the list but Petasil scores very highly for us on styling, particularly the girls’ boots and shoes. That said, there are also some adorable boots in great colours for the little boys. Petasil gives us a lovely range of red school shoes for girls which are in high demand in our area.
How does this brand compare with other brands in the same category you stock/have stocked? It’s up there with the best but we should add that the customer and after sales service that we receive is also very impressive.
Which styles have worked best for you? School shoes for boys and girls are a permanent feature of our product range. The classics including Bonnie, Babs, Beth and the girls’ brogues and Olllie and Oscar for the boys.
Is the brand one of your best-sellers? Where does it stand price-wise? Yes, it’s amongst our top sellers. Price-wise it’s comparable with some other European brands that we stock although there are definitely a few cheaper brands which appeal on price to some of our customers.

Have you recommended the brand to other retailers? To a degree but this isn’t something we really get involved with
Please tell about the service you receive from the manufacturer? We have very little contact with the manufacturer as everything goes through Marrum. Orders are virtually 100% correctly delivered and on time! Claims on faulty items are dealt with efficiently and fairly.
