‘Romba Footwear’ is now run as a family business employing my daughter and sister along with 7 other amazing part-time members of staff who I call my friends. I appreciate and value them so very much and the business would not be as successful without them! ‘Romba Footwear’ has a fabulous Customer base ranging from all ages. They have been loyal and faithful to us from the very start. We value our Customers and understand their needs and requirements and will ALWAYS provide the very best care for them personally.
How has Covid-19 impacted your business? How have you overcome the difficulties?
Covid-19 hit us terribly along with so many other businesses in all sectors and in all industries. The safety of our Customers and Staff was paramount and we followed all safety guidelines and procedures and made sure all 3 premises were Covid-19 secure. When we were able to re-open after lockdown, I offered my most vulnerable and frightened customers private appointments so they were in a safe and relaxed environment with free doorstep parking.
Do you have an oline presence and do you use social networking for the business?
We pride ourselves on the personal 1-1 service which in this day and age is very rare? Feet can be very difficult and getting the right fit and support is the main priority. If your feet are uncomfortable then it effects everything, from joint pains to your mood swings!!
We give Customers ‘time’, we help and advise and guide them towards the right brands that suit their requirements, whether it be from bunion problems to hammer toes we HELP and we CARE that is why Customers
return to us as they are made to feel important and valued. We have a website
www.rombafootwear.co.uk which is a ‘window’ so you can view all our extensive ranges which are updated regularly as new stock arrives. We have a Facebook and Instagram page so most media platforms are covered and we advertise regularly in the EDP, the local papers and magazines.
What’s selling well? Which are your best-selling footwear brands and why?
Our best seller is our ‘Anatomic’ range which is totally unique in their comfort. Recommended by Podiatrists they are made from extremely soft leather with full sheep skin lining which is designed as a thermostat for your feet. The lining is located on the top of the full gel insole and warms your feet up or cools them down.
If you’re suffering from Arthritis, Diabetes, Plantar Fasciitis or arch pain, or if you have tired or sensitive feet, these are the perfect shoe for you! You will never go back to normal soles again! ........If they’re good enough for my DAD then they’re good enough for anyone!!! We are also introducing our ‘Strive’ range with a ‘Biomechanical Footbed’ with built in arch supports to help with fallen arches, heel cups which cradle your heel while helping to absorb shock. Metatarsal support which maintains forefoot shape and disperses pressure evenly. YOU MUST LOOK AFTER YOUR FEET AS THEY WILL BE CARRYING YOU FOR A VERY LONG TIME!!!
How do you select your products? Which criteria do you use We know our Customers and therefore we select our products with them purely in mind. Comfort and Quality is most important but price is obviously a huge factor too but the well-being of you and your feet should never be compromised and our Customers feedback proves this point! You can’t put price on comfort!
How important is shoe fitting to your business?
It is crucial to have the correct fit that’s why we give our Customers’ time to ensure the fit and comfort is there and with our expertise over the past 30 years we make sure of it! If the fit is incorrect, it can effect every part of your body and mind! ‘If the shoe fit’s buy it in every colour’ !!!!!
Does your shop sell other items beside footwear? YES we also stock a variety of gifts and accessories ranging from bags to jewellery to occasion wear..... We are a 1 stop shop and we have a saying
