TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION ADVERTORIAL
New enhanced corrosion resistant enclosure range
IP68 Die Cast
hese High impact IP68 rated die cast enclosures are available in Natural Aluminium as well as powder coated Silver Grey and Black. Manufactured in corrosion resistant aluminium alloy with stainless steel screws, and an impact resistance of up to 7 joules (IEC 60079-0:2004), these cases are suitable for safely enclosing electronic components, PCBs or e-mech components such as relays and switches. They come in 6 sizes and can withstand temperatures ranging from -60 C to +200 C in areas that are generally considered too harsh for other enclosure materials. The enclosures can be punched with holes and slots to your exact specification and printed to customise with legends and your company logo. If the type and dimensional size of the enclosure you need is not immediately available on our website, our experienced sales team will search for the best solution to meet your requirements.

rotection for electronic components can now be more resilient and longer lasting with a new enclosure range that offer corrosion resistance of up to 1000 hours in salt spray. Corrosion and Impact Resistant Enclosures have recently joined the heavy duty range at Deltron, offering enhanced resistance of up to 1000 hours in salt spray, combined with high impact resistance of 7 joules in accordance with EN 60079, whilst maintaining an IP68 rating. Tom Downing, Product Manager at Deltron Enclosures commented; “There is demand for enclosures that can offer greater corrosion resistance than provided by standard aluminium. In addition, all IP testing has been carried out after impact testing to verify that the seal is maintained when the enclosure is treated roughly. This range of enclosures offers our best protection yet over the combined effects of water, impact and corrosive environments.”
P
Manufactured from GD-AlSi12, the enclosures are ideal for environments with high levels of electrolytes such as marine or buried applications, or in areas where the enclosure is susceptible to knocks. Such sectors include automotive, telecoms, food processing and leisure, plus factories where equipment is frequently washed down for sanitisation. The enclosures are finished using Epoxy-polyester (hybrid) powder coating, in grey (from stock), black or red (to order). They are available in ten sizes between 45 x 50 x 30mm and 140 x 140 x 91mm.
Bespoke Enclosures
Once you have selected the appropriate enclosure, we have the capabilities to machine the box, add finishes and assemble all the components to meet project specifications and industry regulations. From drilling to cut-outs, painting, silk screening and more, you could take advantage of first class technical support from our engineers, competitive pricing and low medium order quantities or high volume production runs.

Over the last few years, Rittal’s LCP Rack Industry system has proved highly effective in its ability to cool power electronics in switchgear. Rittal has now developed a new generation of these air/water heat exchangers with numerous improvements and advantages, aimed at improving its performance for control and switchgear manufacturers, as well as users of the machinery and equipment.
control enclosure while, below that, there is room for the N/PE rails. Additional cabling can be added-in in both positions, which makes the LCP Rack Industry extremely flexible. All this delivers high performance cooling, notably in large switchgear units with full-length busbar systems.
Placing an enclosure on both sides of the heat exchanger enclosure doubles the impact of the system, enabling the cooling of two enclosures.
R
ittal’s Liquid Cooling Package (LCP) Rack Industry is a system which has proved highly effective at providing climate control for whole suites of
enclosures. If an air/water heat exchanger is installed in the centre of a bayed enclosure suite, then the resultant cooling air can be blown towards both sides in the enclosure. Cooling outputs of up to 10kW means that even the most demanding climate control requirements can be met, such as those of cooling frequency converters.
The 30cm wide climate control enclosure can also be easily integrated into the Rittal TS 8 baying system.
Busbars can be fitted easily A new, improved LCP Rack Industry system now features recesses to allow the routing of busbar systems and cables.
“It means that we are meeting the
requirements of our customers, who want to use LCP cooling systems in bayed enclosures, along with continuous busbar systems”, says Christian Westwood, Rittal’s Climate Control Product Manager.

Quiet, Energy-Saving and UL Listed The energy efficiency of the new LCP Rack Industry is also now significantly higher. The improved system uses EC fans that consume roughly half as much energy as the previous model, to reduce running costs. In addition, the fan’s optional speed control means that the noise level can be reduced in sensitive areas. The new LCP Rack Industry already has UL Listing, which means it can be used in the USA without any problems.
