EMO (UK) LTD will be launching an exciting array of innovative new interconnect products and technologies that provide solutions to a wide range of problems within many application areas, enabling the manufacturing and electronics industry to meet the challenges of tomorrow.


These new


developments include a new Cadmium-free “NiCorAl” surface treatment that offers a true alternative to cadmium without compromising corrosion resistance, electrical performance or durability and is horizon compliant with RoHS2 and REACh 2017. To be displayed is a new “Halo LED” technology that’s behind a range of “intelligent” connectors enabling end users to monitor or control the interface connection. Additionally, a new “2S” range of rotatable multi-way concentric connectors which is specifically designed for down-hole drilling applications where a series of cylindrical units are required to be screwed together, will be highlighted. Also to be shown, is a new hard wearing anodised colour option on the ruggedized motor sport M-series of connectors that enables users to colour coordinate system designs for functional or aesthetic reasons.

icoCOM A9X is the latest member of the F&S form factor PicoCOM family.All members of the PicoCOM product family are pin compatible and have a robust 80-pole plug connector. At a size of 40x50mm only, PicoCOM A9X can offer the performance of Cortex®- A9-1GHz at a low price. The module will be available for 10+ years and is therefore a perfect partner for applications in medicine and industry. Both cores (ARM® Cortex®-A9 and -M4) are connected to the internal bus fabric and have the possibility to access all peripherals. The advantages of the M4 core are real-time processing and the interfaces are available immediately after power on. The PicoCOM A9X offers up to 512MB DDR3 RAM, 1GB SLC NAND Flash and 32GB eMMC, as well as an SD-Card slot interface. Other interfaces are 2x IEEE 1588 Ethernet, 1x USB Host/1x Device, 2x CAN, I2C, SPI, 3x UART, Audio (Line In/Out) and Digital I/O.

ransducers of the new ProLine P50000 series from Knick Elektronische Messgeräte were specially developed for voltage and current measurement in main and auxiliary power circuits of locomotives and multiple units. They are used, for example, for short circuit detection as well as for monitoring of traction motors and inverters, auxiliary inverters and accumulator batteries. The devices comply with all applicable railway standards and thus meet the high demands of fire protection (HL3 according to EN 45545-2 (2016)),


electrical safety, mechanical robustness as well as


insensitivity to extreme environmental conditions and electromagnetic interferences. Compared to conventional sensors used in railway vehicles, ProLine P50000 transducers stand out due to their calibrated range selection feature and integrated universal power supply unit. Calibrated range selection allows different input ranges up to ±4200 V to be selected quickly and flexibly. After the switchover, the specified high accuracy (< 0.1 % meas.val. + 0.1 % f.s.) is maintained without readjustment.

sheet material, comprising a solid silicone rubber, embedded with Monel or Aluminium metal wires orientated perpendicular to its surface. Excellent RFI/EMI/EMP shielding performance is achieved as the material has a wire density of up to 140 wires/ CM2 in solid silicone providing an environmental and RFI/ EMI seal when clamped between two metallic surfaces. The wires are crimped to aid compression and are chemically bonded to ensure retention. They also penetrate light oxide layers, ensuring a low contact resistance path when compressed.For applications with severe joint unevenness, low closure forces, and where greater compressibility is required, Kemtron have developed new grades 470/480 of material to fulfil a need that meets the performance of our oriented wire in silicone sponge but with improved environmental sealing qualities. We have achieved this by using a very soft solid silicone with a reduced wire count of 100 wires per cm2 the same as our silicone sponge. The advantages of these materials over silicone sponge are that we can manufacture sheet widths of 225mm with a minimum thickness of 0.8mm.

“Bar Type” or “Letterbox” style TFT LCD panels are becoming increasingly popular, our latest display that fits into this bracket is our 12.3 , 1920 x 720 resolution WUXGA panel. The display is an IPS technology panel which gives the panel an extremely wide viewing cone of 170° left to right and 170° top to bottom. The IPS technology also allows the panel to be viewed in either 6 or 12 o’clock viewing directions without any loss of optical performance. The panel incorporates a long life, high brightness LED backlight, delivering a brightness of 1000 cd/m² plus coupling this with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 makes the panel ideal for a host of applications requiring a good optical performance in high ambient light and full sun. An operating temperature of -30°C ~ 85°C further enhances the display’s credentials as a TFT LCD suitable for the very demanding automotive and aerospace markets.
