eatlink is helping its customers with a new way to solve the
problem of magnetite in water. For many years, strainers
have been used as the main defence against the problem of contaminated water in heating systems. But if there’s magnetite in the system then a strainer might not help at all.
Magnetite is created by the action of
oxygen on ferrous components and the particles are often so small they can pass right through a basic strainer. This can lead to damage in pumps and other components resulting in product failure. To help solve the issue, Heatlink is now offering the MAGNOM H2O.
The MAGNOM H2O is core
magnetic technology designed for OEM manufacturers that supply central heating systems within the HVAC sector. It’s a low cost solution that eradicates magnetite from passing into control valves,
pumps and heat exchangers. It extends the life expectancy of key components and also enhances performance. Phil Harrison, Heatlink’s Managing Director,
says: “It seemed obvious that if we could help eliminate a key problem with a simple fix, then we should be offering it to customers. It’s easy to install and maintain and is a small product that can provide huge benefits.” The MAGNOM H2O is exclusively available from Heatlink. Find out more by visiting:

A
fter great success in the residential sector, Domus Ventilation (formerly known
as Polypipe Ventilation) has introduced its new D SERIES range of Extract and Supply fans aimed towards the Commercial Ventilation market. The D SERIES features 6, 9 and
12 inch fans available as kits or individual parts, and a selection of integral and remote sensors. The single remote control DXCON can be set to both Extract and Supply, and can work in conjunction with an integral sensor. The choice of integral sensors include timer, humidistat and PIR, as well as a remote humidistat sensor. The DX CON can also support multiple fans providing they are all the same size i.e. up to five fans in 6 and 9 inch, or two fans in 12 inch in one building. To make installation easy, the D SERIES is available in kit format,
making it simple to order and install in a variety of places such as windows, walls, ceilings, pitched roofs and flat roofs. Furthermore, the D SERIES fan units are available with other ancillaries such as window frame adaptors, wall plates, roof and weather terminals to make the units energy efficient and act as partial retrofit products. Kingspan KoolDuct System is still delivering excellent thermal comfort, humidity control and ventilation performance at Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru (the National Library of Wales). The Kingspan KoolDuct
O
System was fitted during the building’s construction in 1995. The HVAC specification took full advantage of the system’s slimline design, concealing it beneath corridor floors. In addition, the same system was also used within the main ground floor plant room and as part of four risers, traveling from the lower ground floor to the fourth floor. No issues and no relevant maintenance have ever been recorded with the ductwork and a recent inspection showed that the system was in good condition and performing as expected.

Its preinsulated design
eliminates the need for a separate lagging stage and allows ductwork to be fabricated in lightweight sections up to 2.95 metres in length. This ensures greater ease of handling whilst minimising the need for supports. Ductwork fabricated from The Kingspan KoolDuct System is also well suited to projects targeting high standards in energy efficiency. The system panels have been assigned a highest possible BRE Green Guide Summary Rating of A+. For further information, please visit:

installer to end user, the diffusers are as simple as possible to install and maintain and provide a comfortable environment for the enduser. There are a variety of slot and spread patterns available. The positioning of the discs on the faceplates can be easily rotated to cater to the occupants needs by changing the spread pattern without affecting air flow, pressure drop or sound level. This keeps a consistent level of air distribution with minimal sound – something which often leads to system imbalance and performance issues later on in a building’s lifecycle.
T
he Ceiling Collection is the latest group of diffusers to join the Air Diffusion product range. These diffusers have been designed with all parties in mind, to be costeffective and to ensure that from
The diffusers are constructed with hinges that clip smoothly into the backing box to hold the face securely to the box. It can be easily opened to enable installers or maintenance personnel to access inside the ductwork when necessary, without the faceplate needing to be completely disconnected from the box – making access for an operator very convenient when standing on a ladder! The faceplates can be replaced and changed easily and regularly, depending on the building owner’s and end users’ requirements. Only one person is required for the replacement job, saving both time and money – an installer’s dream! The ALS Commissioning Box has a unique design that aids the ease of
installation. The box has been designed to allow true 360°C rotation so that the box can be fitted to the diffuser from any direction. This makes both the ALS and the diffusers simple to manoeuvre, increasing the scope for installation possibilities and keeping the installer’s job simple. The Box also helps to improve the indoor environment; its perforated
interior reduces the level of sound generated in the ductwork – an ideal choice for a space where disturbances need to be kept at a minimum. Email: sales@air
