STAND E190 XYZ Machine Tools will be displaying its UMC-5X simultaneous five-axis, gantry-style, machining centre at this year’s Southern Manufacturing exhibition. The standard technology included with the XYZ UMC-5X is making existing users of five- axis machining centres review their position and potential customers consider the system’s benefits. The UMC-5X comes with leading-edge technology such as
Traori/Kinematic functions for five-axis simultaneous machining, as well as integrated Smart Machining Technology (SMT) and thermal growth compensation. The standard control system is the popular Siemens 840DSL ShopMill Control, with the option of specifying the iTNC 640 HSCI Heidenhain system. Other key features are the front loading 600mm diameter trunnion rotary table, with a high accuracy, direct drive, high torque motor providing 90 revs/min rotation of the table.

STAND G250 2017 marked a milestone for Lamonde Automation. Founder, Mike Donoghue, started Lamonde back in 1982 as a Texas Instruments PLC distributor and a manufacturer of peripheral accessories
and I/O to compliment the TI range. In the early 90’s TI sold its PLC business to Siemens. Lamonde continued to support the installed TI base until 2015. In the meantime, Lamonde became distributors for PLC Direct (which later became
AutomationDirect.com), Weintek Labs and Kessler Ellis Products (KEP) – further products and ranges are always being added to the company’s offerings. Its latest products are regularly updated on the company’s website. Mike Donoghue retired in 2016, handing the reins over to Duncan Stanton, who has worked for Lamonde since 1997. STAND H260 Featured on the Elesa stand at the 2018 Southern Manufacturing Exhibition will be the company’s IP65- 7 direct dial digital position indicators with electronic mechanism for easy set up and readout. HepcoMotion will be showcasing a selection of linear motion products at Southern Manufacturing.
