the backdrop of an education system already under strain. The attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers remains stark and continues to widen as children progress through school.² At the same time, teacher recruitment and retention (especially mathematics) remains one of the most pressing challenges facing the sector, placing additional


pressure on classroom learning.³ For parents, this creates a familiar


challenge. Supporting a child with maths is not always straightforward, particularly when confidence is low or gaps in understanding begin to build. The result is growing demand for structured, high-quality support outside the classroom, not just to improve results, but to build genuine confidence and lasting understanding. In this context, it would be easy


to assume that faster access to answers leads to better learning. In reality, the opposite is often true. Children do not build confidence by


being given answers. They build it by understanding how to get there. That means working through problems, making mistakes and developing the
