latest technology – from AI to the metaverse – in order to deliver the future of education, today, to our global group of schools. With technology now reshaping


all aspects of life, there is a huge opportunity within education to leverage the latest cutting-edge developments to enhance learning experiences, streamline educational processes and ensure that students, teachers and parents are equipped with the best tools for success. There are a number of pioneering innovations that are currently being developed and trialled across the Inspired’s group of 120+ schools in 6 continents, placing us at the forefront of the Edtech revolution. For students, teachers and


parents, we have developed a bespoke suite of AI tools designed as a one-stop-shop to support them, from access to homework, revision and learning materials (students), to AI-powered lesson planning, test setting and marking (teachers), to enhanced communication with the school and ability to track and support their child’s academic attendance and progress (parents). Proprietary Virtual Reality


(VR) technology makes learning more accessible and paves the way for a more flexible and engaging educational environment. And we have also integrated metaverse technology into the classroom to support learning and enhance the overall experience of students. With 83 Inspired schools already

using immersive technology in the classroom, Edtech innovation is supporting a range of subjects, from history, where students can experience a soldier’s life in the trenches with the use of VR headsets, to modern languages, where students learning Spanish in


London can converse with students in Spain in the metaverse, and to biology where students can dissect a human heart using VR technology. As a Group, we work closely with


teachers to measure the impact and efficiency of technology, in order to best inform our approach. Data from a recent internal study found that students’ knowledge confidence grew by an average of 25 per cent after participating in a VR lesson, while students demonstrated an average 15 per cent improvement in correct responses to multiple- choice questions after participating in a VR lesson. Moreover, 90 per cent of students reported increased engagement and interest in their lessons, and 75 per cent of teachers would prefer to deliver appropriate lessons in VR, having tried both VR and traditional approaches. In addition, 72 per cent of students and 85 per cent of teachers said that using VR helps them to recall information. With innovation comes the


responsibility to ensure safety, especially when it comes to AI in education. Which is why we’ve taken extensive measures to develop bespoke guardrails within our AI tools to ensure they are safe and appropriate


for educational


use. Teacher-facing AI tools, for example, are designed so that all outputs are reviewed by educators before they reach students, ensuring that the content remains educationally sound and secure. We firmly believe that


technology should serve as a catalyst for educational transformation, a belief that has driven us to be at the forefront of several groundbreaking initiatives that are reshaping how education is delivered and experienced.
