Allica Bank
Banking built on trust and long-term partnerships
Allica Bank has welcomed Elmira Sharshenbekova as a Relationship Manager, supporting established businesses across Northamptonshire. Elmira brings with her more than eight years of commercial
banking experience, having worked extensively with businesses across the county. She’s spent her entire career working in Northamptonshire, so she has developed really strong relationships with local businesses – and knows as well as anyone the challenges and opportunities facing the established business community.
Elmira said: “What makes Northamptonshire such a special
place to work is the strength of its business community. Over the years, many local business owners have supported me not just professionally, by helping me grow my career, but also personally through mentoring and sharing their experiences. “T at sense of community is hugely important to me, and joining
Allica allows me to give back by supporting those Northamptonshire businesses in return. Especially for female-led businesses in Northamptonshire, there’s a real lack of access to fi nance, so I’d like to be able to help those businesses, too.” T roughout her career, Elmira has supported businesses with
their day-to-day banking, funding requirements and longer-term growth plans, taking a relationship-led approach that focuses on understanding each business beyond the numbers. She’s particularly passionate about the collaborative nature
of the local business environment, where businesses actively support one another, work together and form partnerships. It’s this willingness to come together that she sees as a key reason that the county continues to thrive. As a Relationship Manager at Allica Bank, Elmira off ers businesses
a single, dedicated point of contact, helping them navigate banking decisions with confi dence – a known face and name they can talk to, rather than an automated call centre or chatbot. She works closely with business owners to understand their
goals and challenges, connecting them with the right funding solutions, banking products and specialist support at the right time. By combining her local knowledge with Allica’s relationship- led approach and quick decision-making, Elmira helps businesses focus on what really matters – running their business and seizing opportunities as they come up. Elmira added: “We’re seeing so many banks closing their high-
street locations across the county, and businesses are just crying out for banking how it used to be. Being a Relationship Manager is incredibly rewarding because it’s about building trust and long- term partnerships. When you truly understand a business, you can support it in a way that makes a real diff erence.” Elmira is also passionate about being visible and accessible
within the local business community – so that businesses know who she is. She can often be found attending networking events, supporting local initiatives, and creating connections between businesses where collaboration could add value. Her aim is not just to provide banking support, but to act as a trusted partner and long-term advocate for businesses across Northamptonshire. Through her role at Allica Bank, Elmira looks forward to
continuing to support the businesses that form the backbone of the local economy and contributing to the ongoing strength and success of the local established business community.
