Maryland Secretary of Commerce On March 17, the AUWCL National Security Law Brief hosted an engaging fireside chat with Maryland Secretary of Commerce Harry Coker. Secretary Coker shared insights from his career and offered valuable advice to future attorneys.


The Waiting Game: Film and Discussion On April 1, the Sport & Society Initiative hosted a special screening of “The Waiting Game: They Changed Basketball. Will They Be Given Their Due?” followed by a discussion with Emmy Award–winning director Michael Husain and former American Basketball Association (ABA) player Collis Jones.

Ambassador On April 8, AUWCL welcomed Ambassador Jacinth Henry- Martin of Saint Kitts and Nevis for a discussion on the role of diplomacy in advancing sovereignty, strengthening partnerships, and promoting sustainable development across the Caribbean and beyond.


Wenger Lecture Featuring Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala On April 15, AUWCL welcomed a packed audience for the 2026 Wenger Endowed Lecture in International Trade Law featuring Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, director-general of the World Trade Organization, as the keynote closing event of the Trade, Investment, and Development Program’s daylong conference, Reimagining Multilateralism for the Future.
