This week the council have resurfaced a road close to my home. And not before time.


Riddled with potholes and broken Tarmac, it was a night­ mare to negotiate, particu­ larly on a motorbike, and I’m


sure caused untold damage to many a tyre.

It was, however, a useful tool in my evaluation o f the
