Problem A continuing problem : in Ribchester again reared its head. The pavement out side school had to be washed down to remove the health hazard left by some irresponsible dog- owner. A mother drew attention to a personal initiative taken by her eight- year-old daughter. Lily had trodden
; in some, left on the path near her home. She had been so upset that she had written a special notice and hung it on the gate. It said,“Plees pick up after your dog poos”. To draw spe cial attention to the
. message, she had added a nice draw ing of a puppy on
■ a lead. Her daddy had laminated the message, so there really is no excuse now for ignoring it. By coincidence, “The London Times” carried a
■ piece declaring that “There is no such
; thing as the Dog Poo Fairy”. Clearly, it is wrong; she is living in Ribchester. Well done, Lily.
