"People do appreciate a bit of luxury, and going to the right places - or send ing your partner to them - will save both of you disappoint ment on Christmas Day. Women's lingerie is always a tricky one but quality stores wall provide a quality service and steer a nervous male away from making a bad purchase."

"If you are giving a gift it's nice to get some thing that's going to last, or treat someone to a luxury small item that they might not justify buying for themselves - like some gorgeous soap or gourmet, olive oil. If you don't spend too much money pn yourself as a rule, it's nice to be spoilt at Christmas and it really doesn't have to cost the earth."
