Notice is hereby given that Ribble Valley Borough Council proposes to make an order under Sections 32, 35 (1) and 35 (3) to (3B) of and Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1 984 and by virtue of the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking A rea and Special Parking Area) (County of Lancashire) Order 2004 and the provisions referred to in the Lancashire Order. This order will be called the Ribble Valley Borough Council ( Off-Street Parking Places) (Chipping) Order 2008. It's effect will be to introduce decriminalised parking enforcement (including charging on the basis that this will be a long-stay car park) in the public car park, off Club Lane, Chipping, between th e hours of 9am and 5pm and to control and regulate the use of parking places at this car park. The schedule to this notice shows the days and times of operation, the maximum period for waiting, the classes of vehicles for which the parking places will be made available and the proposed parking charges.


Documents giving further details of the order, including draft order itself, are available for inspection at the Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, Lancashire BB7 2RA, from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.


Any objections or other representations relating to the order must be made in writing to the council’s Legal Department no later than Thursday, December 20 2 00 7. Objections must specify the grounds on which they a re made.
