AN unusual feature of this school photograph is that there are three children from the same fam­ ily pictured, and probably many other brothers and sisters too. It shows the Calder House pupils of probably 1943 at Ribblesdalc Modern School. It was brought in by Mrs Doreen Underwood


(nee Davidson) who can be seen on the back row seventh from the right, she is standing next to her brother, Lawrence Davidson, 8th from right, and her brother, Billy is on the second row from the front, fifth from the right. The two male teachers are Mr Wright on the left and headmaster Mr Chadwick (right).
