lor. Her bridegroom, a technical man ager, is the son of Mr and Mrs Davies, of Foulridge. Given away by her uncle, Mr Ian Taylor, the bride wore an ivory laced gown with pearl and crystal beading and a sweetheart neckline. She carried a bouquet of roses, lilies and ivy.

and the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs Lisette Bradshaw, wore mocha- coloured dresses Mth sweetheart neck lines and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s. Best man was Mr Justin Reyner and groomsmen were the cou ple’s son, Rhys, and friend of the

Thomas William Robinson, son of Mr and Mrs T. Robinson, of Catlow Farm, Slaidbum. Given away by her father, the bride
wore a diamond white fishtail designer gown and carried a bouquet of hot pink gerberas and purple lisianthus. Her bridesmaids were her sister.
Jenny Myers, and friend Lucie Hol- royd who wore deep purple strapless dresses and carried matching bou quets to the bride’s. The flowergirls were the bridegroom’s cousin, Emma Robinson, and niece Maisie Blezard, who wore white lace dresses with pur ple cumerbands and carried miniature
versions of the bride’s bouquet. Best man was the bridegroom’s
cousin, "William Robinson, and groomsmen were Neil Beattie, Geordie Parker, Duncan Cowking and Brian Blezard. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Mark Russell Smith.
A reception was held at the Stirk
House Hotel, Gisbum. The couple then left for their hon
eymoon in the Maldives on Meeru Island. On their return they are to live in

and wore an ivory silk gown which was trimmed on the bodice and train with claret diamante. She carried a bouquet of ivory and claret roses. She was attended by her sister, Mrs Sarah Davies, who wore a claret satin gown and carried a bouquet of ivory roses. The best man, a friend of the bride
groom, was Mr Peter Davies. The bride groom’s brother, Mathew Strong, and the bride’s brother, Mr Gavin Hayman, who travelled from Michigan, USA, were both ushers. The couple honeymooned in Antigua and will live in Blackburn.

Mr and Mrs David Hepworth, of Grindleton. He is a former pupil of Pendle Primary School and Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, who is cur rently studyring tor a Ph.D. in water resource management in Tanzania, through the Univer sity of East Anglia. His bride, the daughter of
Mrs Sandy Ross, of Somerset, is also studyring for a Ph.D. in Tanzania, b u t in linguistic anthropology. Given away by her brothers.
Glen and Toby Ross, the bride wore an empire-line gown of Indian lace and had gypsophi- la interwoven into her hair. She carried a bouquet of lisianthus. The two bridal attendants
were Miss Martha Triviais, of Lancaster, and Miss Tabitha Foster, of Los Angeles, who wore dresses made by the bridegroom’s mother using a traditional African batik fab ric. Each carried a posy of cream flowers. Best man was Richard Mel
