TH E Ribble Valley Cam corder Club has announced the results of its 2007 film competition. This was won by Richard

BENEFITS officers a t Ribble Valley Council are among the best in the country. The borough’s BenefitsTeam
has been highlighted as outstand ing by a wide-ranging Govern ment survey. Ribble Valley Borough Council
was one of only two authorities in the country to be ranked in the top 10 for all seven categories of the 2007 Best Value Benefits Sur vey. The survey, conducted national ly every three years, asks benefits
claimants across the country to rate their local benefits service. . They are quizzed on a range of criteria, such as face-to-face and telephone contact, and speed of service. Anyone who made a benefit
claim in Ribble Valley between June 1st and July 31st, or Novem ber 1st and December 31st last year, or had their claim settled between those dates, was asked to participate in the survey. I t rated Ribble Valley first in
the country in the telephone serv ice and speed of service categories, with satisfaction scores of 92% and 88% respectively.

Thieves target four parked vehicles
