Remembrance


A service to mark Remembrance Day will be held in Knowle Green Con­ gregational Church on Sunday.


The act of remem­ brance will com­ mence at 10-50 a.m. around the war memorial in the church grounds cul­ minating with a two minutes’ silence when the service will continue in the warmth of the church.


Everyone is welcome to come and share in this solemn service of remembrance and thankfulness.

Darts Instead of their usual match the ladies darts team, at Low Moor Club, organ­ ised a friendly game, during which deli­ cious home-made chicken broth and buns were served.


On Saturday, at a family fancy dress and Hallowe’en party, members were entertained by Kim Kay and a game of “Play Your Cards Right.”


Light refreshments were served.


A game of bingo and a raffle were also enjoyed.
