THE grandmother of tragic tod dler Joshua Massey-Hodgkinson has completed a Peruvian trek to raise money in his memory. Ms Cathy Massey hopes her
expedition to Machu Picchu - an Inca site and one of the new won- ders of the world - will raise £3,500. She undertook the 12-day trek
with the company Charity Chal lenge 24. For five days the only people
Ms Massey saw were those who live in the region. She said: “We went up to a
height of 4,280 metres and saw the way these people live, which has not changed for thousands of years. “It was an amazing experience.
They live off the land, they have no radios, no heating or lighting yet they are happy. They have it so right and we in the western world have it so wrong.” She now plans to donate all her
sponsorship money to the NSPCC. Said Ms Massey: “All the
money raised is for the NSPCC to say thank you for all the help they gave to us. “I am hoping to raise £3,500
