HE Clitheroe ahd Kibble Val­ ley branch of the Multiple Scl^ rosis Society is taking part in a national campaign to put the spotlight of what life is like with multiple sclerosis (MS) - the most common disabling neurological disease among young adults.


Clitheroe, said: “MS can be a dev­ astating disease. Its symptoms


. include pain, exhaustion, depres­ sion and loss of sight and mobility. For some people it comes and goes, while for others, it is progressive and becomes severely disabling.


For everyone, it makes life unpre­ dictable. “We have 30 members in this


area who have MS themselves, or who care for or know someone with the condition. During MS Week) we will be working to raise money and awareness to make sure these local people get the help and sup­ port they need.”


The MS Society will launch MS


Week (from April 22nd to 29th) with MS Life - a major national event at Manchester’s G-Mex Cen- tre on April 22nd and 23rd. Members of Clitheroe and the


Ribble Valley branch will play their part to raise awareness of the impact of MS, recruit volunteers and raise funds. Mr Bailey added: “We are
