A TALENTED young writer has scooped first prize in a competition held in memory of the late Clitheroe Advertiser and Times reporter Tim Procter. . Katharine Butler (24), beat off stiff competition to
gain the title Best Work Experience Student 2005. She wrote an article about the reaction of the
Catholic community in the Kibble Valley to the instal lation of new Pope Benedict XVI early last year.
The second person to win The Tim Procter Memori al Shield Award, which was launched in 2004, Katharine, who lives in Baxenden, graduated with a degree in English and Classics from the University of Notting ham.
