study for his degree at Bristol University after leaving Stony hurst. He comes from Lymington in the New Forest.

Trial on attempted murder charge
A CLITHEROE man accused of attempt ed murder has denied the charge and been remanded to await trial. Benjamin Parker (22), of Brotherton
Meadow, pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder 31-year-old Darren Leecy on January 20th this year. At a Preston Crown Court hearing, he
also pleaded not guilty to a lesser-charge of wounding Mr Leecy with intent to do him grievous bodily harm. Mr’Leecy .is alleged to have been
stabbed at an address in Standen Road, Clitheroe.; A trial date was set for June 30th. There
was no application for bail. Parker was remanded in custody by Judge Edward Slinger.
