mission - should he choose to accept it - is to foil the plans of a terrorist, played by Ian McShane. He wants to unleash a new breed

of nano-technology robots invented by a misguided scientist, played by Martin Donovan. To save the day, Cody has to woo

the scientist’s daughter Natalie, played by Hilary Duff. I t should be simple, except this

teen-agent is completely tongue-tied when it comes to chatting up girls. With loads of gadgets and enough

humour to keep the adults amused, this mini-Bond sets out to save the world and prove that sometimes kids do know best!

RUGRATS GO WILD (U) Showing atGrand Cinema from August 22nd. WHEN the Rugrats and their par ents get stranded on a deserted island, Tommy Pickles knows there is only one man who can help them - Nigel Thomberry! Unfortunately, a blow to the head

has made Nigel suddenly seem more like a three-year-old than a grown man.

Luckily, the children have Eliza on

their side, who has the ability to communicate with animals. Eliza can even talk to the pet dog Spike - who has the voice of Bruce Willis. So - will Nigel the toddler turn

back into a documentary-making dad? And will the Rugrats ever make it back to their own back yard?

'J!fc «E S ~ ~ Festival set to wow

THE world-famous Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival in Colne is set to wow the crowds this Bank Holi day weekend. The annual event - now in

its 14th year - has become the biggest and most popu lar of its kind in this part of th e world, and a t t ra c te d more th a n 80,000 fans in 2002. The town of Colne comes to

bringing new talent to the UK stage and this year will be no

exception with some of the finest emerging blues and R&B artists mixing it up on stage over the weekend. The line-up includes Antho

ny Gomes and Sean Costello playing live on a British stage for the first time, alongside the Hamsters and the emerg ing brilliance of Danny Bryant. There will also be perfor

YOUNGSTERS could get the chance to see what an old-fashioned railway was like - and also get a train ride with all-time chil dren’s favourite Thomas the Tank Engine. Yorkshire’s “Friendly

Line” welcomes visitors for its “Day out With Thomas” Bank Holiday event from August 23rd to 25th.

The popular Yorkshire

railway runs between the new award-winning Bolton Abbey Station and Embsay Station, built in 1888. The popular event,

which is held every Bank Holiday, will be hosted by Thomas the Tank Engine

along with the Fat Con troller. A steam roller, a vintage bus and other friends of Thomas will also be helping out with the trips. Children will also get the opportunity to visit the coal dock on the locomotives. The journeys, which do

not need to be booked in advance, will run approxi mately every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the weekend. Fares are £6 per person,

with a special gift pack included with a child fare. For more information
