ROBINSON - CUMMINGS
A honeymoon in Tunisia followed the wedding of former Clitheroe couple Mr Andrew David Robin son and Miss Pamela Jean Cummings. The newlyweds, who
moved from Derby Street, Clitheroe, last September, were married in a ceremo ny which took place at The Ashton Memorial in Lancaster. The bridegroom, a dri
ver for Stagecoach, is the only son of Mr and Mrs J. M. Robinson, of Clitheroe. His bride, a staff nurse
at Lancaster Royal Infir mary, is the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs II. L. Cummings, of Blackburn. Given away by her father, the bride wore a full-length off- cream gown which had an embroidered bodice and
front panel. The overskirt led into a train and she wore a matching stole. Her bouquet comprised blue roses, stephanotis, carnations and white lilies. She was attended by
Mrs Amanda Dockray and the bridegroom's daughter, Kirby Robin son. They wore blue princess-style dresses and
carried bouquets similar to the bride's. Best man was Mr Paul
Dockray. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Royal Station Hotel in Camforth. The couple will live in

grant of £112,072 will help Trinity to improve the quality of its existing community-based pro jects, by the introduc tion of new quality stan dards. I t will also sup port the development of external organisations including Clitheroe the Future, Ribble Valley Dyslexia Group and Ribble Valley Visually Impaired Group. A further EU grant of
£237,970 will help Trini ty ’s Jigsaw Group to continue developing its training and employ ment opportunities for disabled people in Ribble Valley, Hyndburn and Rossendale, through the introduction of new. community businesses. I t will also widen the
scope of its involvement with the government’s New Deal for Disabled People programme. The Jigsaw Group is already supporting the develop
new part-time, staff for people who have been mental health service users. These new workers will help other people : experiencing mental ill health to access training and employment ser vices, and give them a route back into earning a wage rather than being welfare dependent. Eli Taylor, Trinity
Partnership’s Finance Development Manager, who was responsible for developing the funding bids, said that she was delighted with the suc cessful applications, say ing the grants successes would give confidence that Trinity Community Partnership and the Jig saw Group could create oyer 50 jobs for disabled people over the next 18 months. Our picture shows Mr
ment of community businesses in Clitheroe, Accrington and Hasling- den, and operates the New Deal programme in East Lancashire, and Lancaster and Wyre. Jigsaw Prospects is
T rinity Community Partnership’s mental
health development pro gramme and is a third beneficiary of new grant funding programmes. Grants of £84,088
from the Lancashire Learning and Skills Council are to be linked with a further grant of £68,799 from the Euro
pean Union’s Social Fund to help further develop opportunities for people who have experienced mental ill health to access training in confidence building, and work-relat ed skill development. In addition, this fund will help to employ two
