Couple who stole from pensioner sought by police


A COUPLE stole a handbag'containing £120 cash and personal items from an 80-year-old Whatley resident. Around 1-30 p.m. on


Sunday, February 25th, the pair approached the woman's home in shel­ tered accommodation in Forge Corner, off Station Road. Pretending to be collecting magazines and clothing, they gained entry and, after distract­


ing her, stole the bag. Both were described as


being white and spoke with a local accent. The woman is described as 40, 5ft. lin. tall and of slim build. She had dyed blonde short hair which was slightly spiked


and was wearing a zip dark grey, long-sleeve fleece,


grey baggy cotton pants with a blue line down the outside and d ir ty white


trainers. The man was about 17,
