team in our league or the most hard-working team but we just have a bit of spirit which sets us aside a little bit on days like today. The Blues have a hectic schedule
this week as they bid for success in the North West Counties’ League
First Division. On Tuesday they drew at Abbey
Hey, while tonight they travel to Cheadle Town. On Saturday the
Blues are at Leek CSOB. The Blues’ Reserves earned a
win and a draw against Flixton and Nelson respectively last week. Away to Flixton, goals from
Shaun Berry and Denis Hill earned an excellent 2-1 victory. ^ At a frosty and cold Victoria

Blues in front in the second half but they were denied victory by a late riposte from the home side. On Saturday, the reserves wel

to Somerset on Saturday, March 17th, and then welcome Town to Shaw- bridge a week later. Contrary to some
reports circulating in the media, the home leg of the semi-final will take place on Saturday, March 24th and not a day later. It had been previously
reported that the game will go-ahead on the Sun day to avoid a clash with England’s World Cup qualifier with Finland. However both clubs and the FA have agreed for the game to take place on
the Saturday. Meanwhile, having
beaten the second-placed team — Chippenham Town - of the Screwfix Direct Western League Premier Division in the quarter-finals, Clitheroe will have to go one hotter in the semis as Taunton currently lead the same
division. Of the draw Dave
Burgess said: “I t’s a diffi cult one but we have to

will see Marske or Bedlington Terriers face Berkhamsted Town. • Tickets for the home leg of the semi-final go on sale on Saturday. Tickets are priced at £6 and £3 conces sions and can be obtained from Banana News, Castle Street, or at the Wardle- worth newsagents in Well- gate (425703). Fans are reminded that
the match is not all-ticket but. to ensure admission, supporters are strongly advised to obtain a ticket beforehand. Shawbridge’s capacity is around the
