HRC welcomes pub & bar professionals for 2022
Hotel, Restaurant & Catering (HRC) has teamed up with The Pub Show for 2022, creating the ultimate trade event for foodservice and hospitality professionals.
The event, taking place on 21-23 March at ExCeL London, brings together quality suppliers across show sections professional kitchen, foodservice, design & décor and hospitality tech. Plus, this year's event will incorporate some of the best-loved features of The Pub Show, including the popular Tap Room feature into HRC’s offering, appealing directly to publicans and bar owners in addition to restaurateurs and hoteliers looking to expand their bar and drinks offerings.
The Pub Show at HRC has partnered with On-Trade Consultancy to bring a curated selection of pub-focussed suppliers to the show and to run a number of ‘Pub Crawls’ – trend trails focussed on product categories such as ready-to-drink, spirits and hospitality tech.
Matt Steinhofel, Managing Director of On-Trade Consultancy commented: “I am delighted that OTC is involved with The Pub Show at HRC this March. We are excited to be changing up the way traditional pub trade shows are run by adding innovative new drink products and tech services and interesting guest speakers along with informative and engaging 'Pub Crawls' for attendees.”
Both the show’s Vision Stage, designed by Harp Design and curated by EXP101, and Tech X stage will feature a number of discussion and presentations aimed at the pub and bar sector, including sessions hosted by consumer research agency KAM looking at the integration of tech into pubs and bars and debating the post-Covid future of the sector. The Vision Stage will also feature a session hosted by the Pubs Code Adjudicator taking a look at how the regulator protects tied tenants.
Elsewhere at HRC, historic chef competition International Salon Culinaire will be celebrating 120 years with the introduction of a number of new categories. In addition to the Apprentice Challenge and Restaurant Home Meal Kit of the Year this year will see a new Pub Chef of the Year category introduced to celebrate some of the talented cooks working in these businesses.
2022 will see the return of The Staff Canteen Live to HRC, which each edition sees some of the UK’s most skilled and creative chefs cooking their most well-known dishes and sharing their insights and experience. Cooking on day one of the show, 21 March, will be the Tom Booton, Head Chef
