Rooster Rojo Tequila Blanco (38% ABV) is clear in appearance
On the nose it has fresh, lively citrusy notes. The palate is soft and sweet initially giving way to a longer spicy, peppery taste. The finish is medium-length, intensely smooth, strong and delicious.
Rooster Rojo Tequila Reposado (38% ABV) bright straw-coloured in appearance
Kept in French oak barrels for at least 2 months, on the nose this Reposado takes on a delicious touch of oak, with crisp, fruity, cooked agave and sweet notes. The palate involves notes of cooked agave joined by creamy vanilla and caramel notes with cinnamon. The finish is fruity and refreshing with a touch of warmth from the cinnamon and vanilla notes.
Rooster Rojo Tequila Aňejo (38% ABV) golden in appearance
On this nose this displays notes of oak, chocolate, tobacco, and coffee. On the palate, caramel, oak, and vanilla mingle with roasted agave. The finish is long and smooth with the vanilla and oak notes lingering deliciously.
Rooster Rojo Aňejo Smoked Pineapple Tequila (38%ABV) golden in appearance
The first smoked pineapple tequila, Rooster Rojo uses Red Spanish Pineapples for this infusion due to the exceptional taste profile they provide. Blended with Rooster Rojo Aňejo Tequila it gives an exceptionally smooth but subtle drink. On the nose, there are aromas of ripe banana, pineapple and smoke. The palate delivers tropical fruits, oak and delicate spices. The finish is medium length, smooth, smoky, and pleasant.
Recipe for a Classic Rooster Rojo Margarita
Classics are classics for a reason. We offer two takes on the Margarita, demonstrating the importance of the spirit in this mix:
First up, Reposado Margarita • 45 ml Rooster Rojo Reposado • 20 ml Cointreau or other Triple Sec • 25 ml Fresh lime juice • 1 bar spoon of Agave nectar
Secondly, Smoked Pineapple Margarita Also try Rooster Rojo Smoked Pineapple Margarita. Use the same proportions for the recipe, but substitute the astonishing new Smoked Pineapple infused Añejo Tequila, only available from the Rooster Rojo collection. It is deliciously different and perfect in its own way. Garnish with a sliver of fresh pineapple.
