A St Richard’s Hospice volunteer from Droitwich Spa has had years of exceptional dedication to the charity recognised with a national award.
Eunice Williams has been announced as a Platinum Champion. The awards were established by the Royal Voluntary Service in honour of Her Majesty the Queen and the great example she has set in her 70 years of service.
Eunice will receive a specially designed, official Platinum Champions pin and a signed certificate from Her Royal Highness
the Duchess of Cornwall.
As one of the original volunteers at the hospice when it first began in Droitwich Spa in 1984, Eunice continues giving her time, energy and enthusiasm until this day.
Eunice said: “I’m honoured to be named as a Platinum Champion. This award is in recognition of all the work volunteers do for the hospice. I have made great friendships and had lots of fun, being a volunteer at St Richard’s really adds to my life.”
BELFRY SPA NAMED IN AWARDS 70
The Belfry Hotel & Resort, situated in Royal Sutton Coldfield has been named a finalist in the Best Day Spa category for the Good Spa Guide Awards 2022. The annual awards are run by the Good Spa Guide, an online publication dedicated to helping readers find the best spas in Britain. The Belfry Spa is available for guests of all ages, creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to unwind in. Guests can take advantage of a wide range of ESPA treatments, as well as make use of the swimming pool, whirlpool and the Leisure Club’s state of the art facilities, including a gym, classes, and spin studio.

JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS
Pupils at Bromsgrove School had a right Royal celebration to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
To start the day over 1300 pupils and staff assembled for a drone photo in the centre of our green, to map out the shape of the initials of EIIR. Following on from this, pupils enjoyed a street party with traditional British cuisine and decorations. The nursery also had a Jubilee picnic. The school was decorated in red, white and blue for the occasion, with the official Jubilee flag flying across the campuses.
Bromsgrove’s sister school, Winterfold, also held similar events, with a street party down the driveway, decorations and a Jubilee themed fair for the children and ‘Friends of Winterfold’ to enjoy.
