CALLING ALL PASSENGERS London Classic Theatre return to Malvern this month with an hilarious new production of one of the greatest plays from the master of the French farce. Paris, 1962. Bernard, a successful architect, has a very complicated love life. His three fiancées, Gloria, Gabriella and Gretchen, work for different airlines with different timetables. With the help of his maid, long-suffering Bertha, Bernard has somehow managed to keep all three women blissfully unaware of the others’ existence. However, the arrival of an old friend from the provinces and the launch of a new super-fast jet propel Bernard’s carefully constructed plans into comic chaos. AMERCAN POP ROYALTY Critically acclaimed singer and songwriter Olivia Rodrigo brings the SOUR tour to the UK in support of her GRAMMY-nominated record-breaking, RIAA Double Platinum Certified debut album SOUR. American singer-songwriter and actress Olivia gained recognition in the late 2010s with her lead roles on the Disney TV programmes Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. After landing a record deal in 2020, Rodrigo released her debut single Drivers License, which broke various records and became one of the best-selling songs of 2021, propelling her to mainstream fame. She then released her debut solo studio album Sour last year which received widespread critical recognition and commercial success, and won her several awards including three Grammy Awards. WILKO IS BACK IN BRUM Following a remarkable recovery from a diagnosis of terminal cancer, Wilko Johnson, the original Dr Feelgood guitarist and all round national treasure has enjoyed a rousing return to the live arena, including a number 1 album with Roger Daltrey (Going Back Home), a sold out show at The Royal Albert Hall to mark his 70th birthday and, most recently, the release of Blow Your Mind, his first album of new material in decades. Wilko is famed for his blistering chop-chord strumming action, the ‘stab’, as he describes it. With this electrifying sound, his trademark black-suited, scowling look and his characteristic strut, Wilko became one of the guitar heroes of the 1970s and beyond, not to mention on of rock ’n’ roll’s most extraordinary characters. AL FRESCO AYCKBOURN The Worcester Rep Company will be returning to the beautiful Commandery gardens in Worcester this month, where they will be reinterpreting the ageless comedy by Alan Ayckbourn, Round and Round the Garden. After their successful run at the Commandery last year the Worcester Rep are hoping to bring the same magic, humour and delight to their audiences once again in this exquisite setting. Round and Round the Garden is the last in the trilogy of Normans Conquests, often said to be the best of the three and is actually set in the garden of a family home. It all starts with sunshine and scandal as we discover Annie is running off for a secret weekend away with her brother-in-law, Norman. But everything begins to go wrong when the rest of Annie’s family arrives including Norman’s wife, her sister, Ruth. Hilarious shenanigans unfold as Annie’s idyllic weekend becomes a disaster.
