environment, points out XCMG. Related to this Mammoet said that with no combustion engine noise during lifting operations the XCA60-EV also heightens safety on site, as communication is clearer. "Mammoet is proud to be
investing in the XCMG XCA60-EV crane, which is another important step in our ambition to deliver sustainable heavy lifting to the Dutch market and beyond,” said Peter van Oostrom, director global assets at Mammoet. XCMG said this milestone
not only represents a strong partnership between two industry leaders but also reflects a shared commitment to driving sustainable innovation in the lifting sector across Europe. "This delivery marks more than just a product handover – it's a step forward in redefining what's possible in sustainable lifting operations," said Zhen Li, Chairman at XCMG Europe. "We're proud to support Mammoet's efforts to reduce environmental impact and look
forward to seeing the XCA60-EV contribute to a cleaner, more efficient tomorrow.
LIEBHERR LTM1150-5.4E At the end of 2025 Mammoet took delivery of the Liebherr’s battery- electric LTM 1150-5.4E. Billed as Liebherr’s ‘first mobile crane with battery-electric drive’ the 150-tonne, five-axle, crane debuted at Bauma 2025. Read the launch story here:
https://shorturl.at/fkCRF It has a 66 metre telescopic boom, a 92 metre maximum hoist height, and a maximum radius of 72 metres.
It has a battery-electric drive
for crane operations, offering zero- emission, low-noise performance, while retaining a Stage V combustion engine for road travel. It can also be plugged in via cable when onsite, to charge the battery and to utilise full lifting capabilities. The crane’s 400 kW (544hp) diesel engine is EU Stage V compliant. It can also run on hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO).

1150-5.4E debut at Bauma 2025
Liebherr says the use of HVO in place of regular diesel can reduce CO2 emissions by 90 percent. The crane has a 111 kW liquid-cooled electric motor which is mounted in the carrier. The 99 kWh battery pack, plus integrated charger, is attached at the back of the crane. The LTM 1150-5.4E also has
Liebherr’s most recent Liccon3 control system.
Although the last stages of the
crane’s prototype testing were still taking place at Liebherr in Ehingen, Germany, a model was delivered to Mammoet for practical use testing. It was not, however, the first
electric drive crane that Mammoet had bought from Liebherr; in 2023 it received a compact crane, a 50-tonne capacity LTC 1050- 3.1E with electric drive. Liebherr claims that the positive experience Mammoet had with the compact crane led it to try the new battery- electric all terrain.

of investing in new solutions for engineered heavy lifting
