SHOW PREVIEW

Kuenz. From its headquarters in Hard, it produces cranes and spreaders for container handling and intermodal operations across the globe. Kuenz designs, engineers and manufactures all key components in-house, enhancing safety and cost-effectiveness. In Hamburg, Kuenz will showcase the

recent expansion of its RTG portfolio. This includes the Freerider RTG for automated applications, and the Cantilever Freerider, which it says offers new automation possibilities in the RTG sector. There is also a dual-girder RTG for manual and semi- manual RTG operations, as well as intermodal automation powered by AI. Kuenz will present all these products in realistic VR animations.

Founded in 1932, Kuenz is a family-owned Austrian crane manufacturer.

As standard, all Hyster electric big trucks incorporate the Combined Charging System (CCS), a global electric vehicle charging standard that enables port and terminal operations to cost-effectively scale charging for multiple applications and equipment through a single, standardised charging connector used across numerous industries and geographies. When matched with the right application, operating intensity and infrastructure, the Hyster J10-18XD series is designed to deliver exceptional performance with zero emissions, reduced maintenance and lower total cost of ownership. The high-powered lithium-ion batteries help eliminate tailpipe emissions, reduce fuel consumption and save on operational costs.

Kuenz – E54

Kuenz is a family-owned Austrian crane manufacturer, founded in 1932 by Hans

Cavotec – F22 In the ports and terminals sector, Cavotec offers a broad portfolio of technologies, with crane electrification a key area of expertise. Its solutions include motorised cable and hose reels for a variety of crane types, including ship- to-shore cranes, automated stacking cranes, RMGs and electric RTGs.

It also offers cables and hoses, connection points, automated plug-in solutions and its Panzerbelt cable protection system. “Engineered for demanding port environments, these solutions support the safe, reliable and efficient transfer of power, data and fluids while helping terminals maximise uptime, improve safety and reduce environmental impact.” In addition to crane electrification,

Cavotec supports ports with shore power solutions, automated mooring systems, charging solutions and control and interface technologies such as radio remote controls.

“Together, these solutions help ports advance their electrification and automation journeys and support more sustainable cargo-handling and vessel operations,” it adds.

Best of the rest Bromma (D54) manufactures more than 2,000 spreaders per year of all types. It says that its spreaders are in use in 99 out of the top 100 ports worldwide. Conductix-Wampfler (B82) offers a portfolio of proven solutions that support energy and data transmission infrastructure in ports and container terminals. From crane electrification to intelligent data transmission systems, its technologies are engineered to withstand harsh maritime environments while enabling smarter, more sustainable operations. Huisman (E50) will showcase Rope Vision, which automates visual inspections of wire rope to better manage its integrity. By combining the condition data from Rope Vision with usage data, measured by crane controls, it can predict the remaining wire rope lifetime and strategically schedule maintenance. RAM Spreaders (D22) specialises in manufacturing container spreaders for STS, yard gantry and mobile harbour cranes. Recent innovations include the RAM Revolver for better containerised bulk cargo handling; a telescopic pipe handling spreader to improve the efficiency and safety of handling concrete coated steel pipes in the oil and gas industry; and PinSmart II. This is designed to autonomously remove and place container twistlocks without human intervention, helping ports achieve a new standard of moving 40 containers per hour.

For those looking to understand crane electrification, Cavotec is a must-visit.
