Holburn Pharmacy has been selected as a finalist for its outstanding public health initiatives. Led by Morag Fraser and her dedicated team, the pharmacy has actively promoted health awareness through a dedicated public health section, free access to essential products like period supplies and BBV test kits and engaging social media campaigns. They provide vital services through NHS Pharmacy First, offering treatments for minor ailments and proactive health advice. Achieving Gold standard in public health promotion from NHS Grampian, their commitment has enhanced accessibility, community engagement and overall patient wellbeing.


ALISON COCKBURN NHS LOTHIAN


Alison has been selected as a finalist in recognition of her achievements as Lead Diabetes Cardiovascular Pharmacist. Over the past year, she has successfully established pharmacist-led clinics in 35 GP practices, improving diabetes and cardiovascular care. Her work has led to significant health improvements, including reduced HbA1c levels, lower blood pressure and improved cholesterol management. Through expert-led consultations, patient education and lifestyle interventions, Alison has empowered individuals to better manage their conditions, reducing hospital admissions and improving their quality of life. Her dedication to training future pharmacist prescribers ensures lasting impact across NHS Lothian.
