YLC UPDATE
stories and experiences. It was quite fun to hear these stories, but it was even better to hear the solutions and strategies that these young operators used to solve some of these unique self-storage predicaments. For the first time ever, we held a fabulous “festive attire contest” with a twist; there was virtual dancing and more! Congratula- tions to our Festive Holiday Champions: Catherine Chernoff, Christine Trawin, and Hans Matthey.
YLC Sponsors And Members Once again, the Canadian Self Storage Association Young Leaders Council was truly successful in 2021. We were able to bring more young people in the Ca- nadian Self Storage industry together than any prior year! We had the most amazing mentors share their time and experience with us to help us learn and grow. It was a year of new chal- lenges, with so many pandemic-related changes to our industry, but this group
of young self-storage professional was at the ready and willing to take it all on with ease. What’s more, Cana- dian Self Storage Association’s Young Leaders Council’s Membership grew rapidly in 2021! We certainly have to give some credit to our fabulous 2021 CSSA Young Leaders Council

It was a year of adversity, but our Cana-
dian Young Leaders seized and carried the ball to the end. We had a lot of fun get- ting to know so many new members and reacquainting with our veteran members as well. Even though we could not get together in person, it was amazing to be with you all virtually.
