Publisher's Letter Farewell To One
Of The Industry’s Best! T
oday, as we go to press, the self-storage industry is mourning the loss of a dear friend and beloved
colleague, Caesar Wright, executive chairman of MakoRabco.
I first met Caesar nearly 23 years ago, when I
entered the self-storage industry. I was immediately greeted with a huge smile, his infectious sense of humor, and a sincere willingness to share information about an industry that was completely foreign to me. Over the years that followed, he became someone I could always call for information, an interview, or an article for Messenger.
Caesar was one of those people that everyone

seemed to like immediately. From his honesty, integrity, and impeccable work ethic to his unabashed sense of humor and antics on the golf course, he was someone you really loved knowing. Above all, I loved the way Caesar’s face lit up when he talked about his wife, Angie Guerin, and their beautiful daughter, Bella, who he loved dearly.
Having known Caesar for more than 22 years, it is hard to imagine the industry without him.
I will miss his smile and larger-than-life personality at trade shows and industry events. And I will especially miss his enthusiasm and the fun, competitive spirit that he brought every year to the AZSA Golf Tournament.
Indeed, Caesar Wright will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace, my friend!
