PC Dharmesh Mistry of West Yorkshire Police launches the Leeds Faith Trail to help colleagues understand the facets of different faiths to build stronger relationship with the communities they serve
What’s inside a church, masjid (mosque), mandir (Hindu temple), synagogue or gurdwara (Sikh temple)? How can visiting these places of worship help police officers in protecting the communities they serve? Building on the experience gained from involvement in the revised Bradford Faith Trail, PC Dharmesh Mistry of West Yorkshire Police has launched the Leeds Faith Trail for Police Students and Neighbourhood Policing Team officers to help them strengthen relationship with their communities.
Explaining the idea behind building the initiative, PC Mistry said: “As a police officer, working with communities is crucial and will always be at the heart of the police service. It is only
