TRIUMPH FOR ‘MEDALS FOR HEROES’ CAMPAIGN


It’s been a few months since the announcement of the Elizabeth Emblem was made and there’s much to report back on

PFEW led the way in calling for the introduction of formal State recognition for officers who have lost their lives in the execution of their duties and the establishment of the Elizabeth Emblem was welcomed by all. Families of all public servants who lost their lives while fulfilling their public duties can now apply via the GOV.UK website for posthumous recognition. Speaking about developments since the introduction of the Emblem, John Partington, PFEW ‘Medals for Heroes’ campaign lead told us: “It’s been an honour to help support the application process for officers who have lost their lives in service to their communities.
