The search is on after Swinton Taxi’s Mystery Tipper has spent more than three years travelling around the country meeting taxi drivers and finding so many gen- erous, hardworking characters. Swinton Taxi’s Mystery Tipper said ‘So many taxi driv- ers have impressive stories to tell either about work they have done for their community, money they have raised for charity or time they have taken to look after their families when life has been tough. This year we want to celebrate the work taxi drivers are doing and crown one special driver with the title ‘Cabbie of the Year 2012.’ Swinton Taxi’s Mystery Tipper has been going around the country surprising drivers with £1,000 tips each month for the past three years but drivers often feel left out when she doesn’t visit their part of the coun- try. This is a chance for all drivers to enter for the chance to win £1,000 and their taxi insurance paid for a year which often costs thousands of pounds.
