Blacklane to begin offering airport concierge services


CHAUFFEUR service Blacklane will soon be adding airport concierge services to its list of offerings, following its recent acquisition of airport concierge booking platform Solve. From December,


travellers will be able to search for and book services at more than 500 airports around the world via Blacklane. Along with chauffeur services, this includes curbside and airside passenger meet and greet, fast-track security, customs and immigration, connecting flight assistance and even lounge access. The company has also recently partnered with Qatar Airways to offer door-to-door chauffeur-driven transfers to travellers in all classes across 85 destinations. blacklane.com

AEROMEXICO and Japan Airlines are targeting a new codeshare agreement some time in the 2018 financial year that is expected to include 12 routes within Mexico. AIR NEW ZEALAND has received the first of its new-look B787-9 Dreamliners, which come with a greater number of Business Premier and premium economy seats. AMERICAN AIRLINES is launching its daily Los Angeles-Beijing service this month using its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which unlike the B787-9, does not have a premium economy cabin. QATAR AIRWAYS has extended its pre-order dining service to first and business class passengers on long- haul routes to Asia and Africa. UNITED’s B747 flew its final international flight last month from Seoul to San Francisco, ahead of its full retirement on November 7.
