Qantas launches new first class bedding
QANTAS has unveiled a new range of bedding for its first class customers on board the carrier’s A380 aircraft. Designed by Australian home and lifestyle brand Sheridan, the range includes a pillow menu with a choice of the lightweight Ultimate Comfort Pillow (set on seat prior to take-off), the Memory Foam Pillow or the Feather and Down Pillow (the last two available on request). Other features include a memory foam mattress, “super-soft Sheridan sheeting”, a duvet cover, a 100 per cent combed-cotton woven throw, and a soft-touch bolster cushion. The new first class bedding is available on A380 services to London, Dubai, Los Angeles and Dallas Fort Worth.

American Express launches first non-US lounge in Hong Kong
AMERICAN Express has officially celebrated the opening of The Centurion Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport – the first Centurion Lounge in Asia.
The 743 sqm facility is located near Gate 61 in Terminal 1, next door to the Plaza Premium, Emirates, United Club and Royal Orchid lounges. Platinum Card and Centurion members can enjoy complimentary access for themselves and eligible guests. The main area features a staffed bar, buffet spread, single shower cubicle and access to a casual meeting room, while Centurion members can also enjoy an exclusive area with private seating, Member Services Professional support and à la carte menu directed by Michelin-star chef Lau Yiu Fai from the Intercontinental Hong Kong’s Yan Toh Heen restaurant.
