AIR FRANCE’S FIRST A350 has entered service. Te carrier is set to receive 28 A350-900 aircraſt by 2025, with six in the air by the end of next year. Te first routes it will serve are Abidjan in Ivory Coast, Bamako in Mali, and Toronto. Cairo and Seoul will follow from December 9, and Bangkok in 2020. Te aircraſt has 34 seats in business class, 24 in premium economy and 266 in economy.

AMAN KYOTO LAUNCHES this month, joining the luxury brand’s two other Japanese properties. Set in the forested region of Takagamine, the hotel occupies 32 hectares of land at the bottom of the Hidari Daimonji mountain, close to the UNESCO-listed Kinkaku-ji temple. Located on the grounds where the Rinpa school of painting was founded 400 years ago, the resort is made up of standalone pavilions, with 24 rooms and two two-bedroom villas. Minimalist rooms draw inspiration from the ryokan (traditional Japanese inns), with floor-to-ceiling windows and custom-designed furniture.
