UP FR ONT HYATT MAKES ITS DUBLIN DEBUT
HYATT HAS OPENED a 234-room Dublin hotel under its lifestyle brand Centric. Located in the Liberties neighbourhood, it is the first Hyatt-branded property in Ireland. Te room count includes nine suites, one overlooking St Patrick’s Cathedral and another with views of the Dublin Mountains. Tere are two dining options – Liberties Gate Restaurant, serving “locally inspired cuisines”, and Liberties Gate Bar, which offers a selection of whiskeys from local distilleries as well as an all-day menu.

ASCENT
AMERICAN AIRLINES will launch a daily service between
London Heathrow and Boston on March 29, operated by a B777-200 aircraft. The carrier says that the flight times (departing the UK in the morning and the US in the late evening) will complement the
four daily flights offered by its joint venture partner British Airways.
AUSTRIAN AIRWAYS will debut at Birmingham airport next year.

Four-times weekly flights to Vienna operated by an Embraer 195 will begin on January 1.

AIR INDIA was about to launch the first nonstop route between
London Stansted and India as we went to press. Three-times weekly
flights to Amritsar are operated by a two-class B787 Dreamliner.
DESCENT
Slovenia’s ADRIA AIRLINES suspended all operations in September. It was the fourth
European carrier to do so that month, following French carriers XL AIRWAYS and AIGLE AZUR, and the UK’s THOMAS COOK.
UNITED and AMERICAN
AIRLINES have taken the troubled Boeing 737 Max out of their schedules until January 2020,
following the lead of all other carriers with the aircraft in their fleet.
