DIRECTOR-GENERAL The Director-General is the OPEC Fund’s Chief Executive Officer and is elected by the member countries for a five-year term. He heads the Fund’s operations following the directions of the Governing Board and in accordance with the regulations stated in the Agreement Establishing the OPEC Fund. The current incumbent Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa assumed his post in November 2018.
